We will be happy to support you in setting up a practice or becoming a freelancer or with questions about QM.
On this page we provide information on the funding guidelines of the Free State of Saxony, through which midwives receive a start-up grant of €5,000.

Requirements for funding
- First-time commencement or resumption of freelance work as a midwife in the Free State of Saxony or expansion of the specific range of services for health insurance-financed standard services of midwifery care
- the obligation to work as a freelance midwife with standard midwifery services, financed by the health insurance funds for at least 36 months
Required documents
- Copy of the applicant's identity card
- Copy of the applicant's professional license certificate
- a declaration on the commencement, resumption or extension of freelance midwifery work for statutory health insurance-financed midwifery services
- a business and financing plan
Application form
- Applications should be submitted to the SAB no later than two months before the start of self-employment.
